January News
We hope you’ve had a good January so far. It’s been a very busy start to the spring term for us with lots of supply needs being called in.
Christmas and NYE feel like a long time ago now! In line with our corporate social responsibility, we were pleased to help several of our client schools with contributions to their Christmas activities including a Christmas tree and prizes for raffles for others. We will continue to contribute to charitable causes or sponsorship opportunities where possible.
We find ourselves in that position where we need to increase the Supply Team to be able to fulfil all the needs of our client schools. If you know of any Teachers or Teaching Assistants looking for supply roles in primary schools across Birmingham, please send them our way!! We are particularly short of key stage 2 teachers. We can offer a voucher for any referrals that lead to placements*.
We have had schools contact us about covering industrial action and we have sent out a communication to our supply team regarding this as we appreciate it’s a sensitive area.
Following the repeal of Regulation 7 in July 2022, it is now possible for employers to engage with agency staff to replace the work of those taking official strike action. We understand that this creates an uncomfortable position for both client schools and members of our supply team alike and appreciate that some may find it impossible to work on those days.
If you have any feedback or thoughts, we are always interested to hear from you, pleaase call 0121 414 1166 or email support@esl.uk.net .
Best wishes,
The ESL team.
