February News
It’s been a very busy February with our existing client schools and various new schools contacting us for cover. Demand for Supply Teachers and Teaching Assistants has been incredibly high.
We have launched a referral scheme which is easy to measure, you will receive a £50 voucher if you recommend a new supply team member (once they have worked 10 full days for us). The person you refer will also receive a £50 voucher once they have worked 10 days. Most of our supply team have come from referrals whether from schools or other team members. This is one of the reasons we have such a good reputation with our client schools, the calibre of our team is so high. Any new recommendations would be gratefully received, we really value your input.
Other news
The September 2022 revision of Keeping Children Safe in Education included the following additional guidance to enhance the process of shortlisting:
“as part of the shortlisting process schools and colleges should consider carrying out an online search as part of their due diligence on the shortlisted candidates. This may help identify any incidents or issues that have happened, and are publicly available online, which the school or college might want to explore with the applicant at interview.”
Please be advised that ESL complete an online search on all new applicants. The guidance is ambiguous, and we await further direction. In the absence of such guidance, ESL reviews the first page of a google search for all new applicants.
We look forward to this next, short half term, we’re enjoying the lighter days and evenings and Easter will be here before we know it.
Thank you as always for your continued support.
